The Buffalo Bills are coming off of their bye week, so they have had two weeks to prepare for the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bills needed a break as they are in the midst of a 3 game losing streak. The Cincinnati Bengals lost a tough one last Monday Night, 21-20 to the Giants in New York. Here is a look at the matchups in this game:
When the Bengals have the ball: The Bengals are going to come out balanced tomorrow offensively. Look for RB Jeremy Hill to pound the rock up the middle against a Bills’ D that is giving up 108.9 yards rushing per game and 4.0 yards per carry so far this year. RB Giovani Bernard will attack the edges of the Bills’ D both running the ball and catching it out of the backfield. Andy Dalton is going to have to get rid of the ball quickly in this game, as the Bills have 30 sacks already this year. Dalton will likely try to get the ball into WR A.J. Green‘s hands early and often in the hopes that he can break some long ones after the catch. WRs Brandon LaFell, Tyler Boyd, TE Tyler Eifert and RB Giovani Bernard will also likely catch a few passes each tomorrow against a Bills’ D that is allowing 242.2 yards passing per game so far this year.
When the Bills have the ball: The Bills are going to come out running (as usual) against a Bengals’ D that is giving up 116.8 yards rushing and 4.4 yards per carry so far this year. RB Lesean McCoy is going to be the main man in the running game, as he should get at least 20 carries and catch a couple of passes in this game. Look for QB Tyrod Taylor and RB Mike Gillislee to also run the ball a few times tomorrow. Taylor will likely be running a lot of play action passes in this game, so he should have time to throw the ball. WR Robert Woods and TE Charles Clay will probably be Taylor’s most popular targets in the passing game tomorrow. But, when Taylor is looking to throw a bomb, lightning fast WR Marquise Goodwin is going to be the man he looks for!
